t3s are supported by UKTI and promote an exchange of ideas between users of training technology from different sectors & industries and training & simulation solution providers; open up new markets; and provide an opportunity to network and build relationships between training professionals. At a time of budgetary austerity when training has to be even more cost-effective than previously, t3 is concentrating on training products and solutions that are low-cost to the user and are applicable, either as they are or suitably modified, for as wide a range of sectors/industries/markets as possible. This 4th t3 will build on the success of the previous three t3s and will address approaches and devices, including serious games, gamification, part-task trainers and low-cost simulators & simulations, to provide skills training for primarily civil sectors but will include defence & security.
